Might be Anxiety…

Over the years, I have provided guidance and assistance to numerous individuals in dealing with pet accidents. My real job is managing Ace Rug Cleaning in Raleigh NC. Just this morning, a client had recently brought her rug home and laid it out. However, not even 12 hours later, her puppy had another accident during the night. After a 30-minute conversation, we suspect that the issue might be related to anxiety. Specifically, it seems that storms are causing distress for the pup, leading to anxiety-induced accidents. Given the circumstances, it’s conceivable that the pup is feeling anxious and can’t control himself. With hurricane storms and Labor Day on the horizon, it’s wise to be prepared for potential fireworks, thunder & lightning. It’s a good idea to consult your veterinarian for recommendations on keeping your dogs calm during such events. To rule out any other underlying problems, I recommended conducting bloodwork. In the meantime, I suggested a diet of chicken, rice, and probiotics, along with the use of pee/poo pads. Being proactive and making preparations now, rather than during the actual storm or fireworks, can make a significant difference in keeping your pets at ease.  Jennifer Sue’s Miniature Dachshunds
